By accessing or using xtreasurehunt.com (the “Portal”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Portal.

2. Description of Service

X Treasure Hunt operates the Quest Portal, an interactive platform for treasure hunt adventures at renaissance faires and medieval festivals. Through the Portal, you can create an account, track quest progress, participate in social quests, earn rewards, and view leaderboards.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• One account per person — duplicate accounts may be removed
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Children & Families

The Quest Portal welcomes adventurers of all ages. Children under 13 should use the Portal under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who should create and manage their account.

Our physical treasure hunt experiences at faire venues are open to participants of all ages and do not require an online account.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Portal, you agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate quest results
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the Portal
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Portal — including quests, puzzles, treasure maps, artwork, stories, and game mechanics — is owned by X Treasure Hunt and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce our content without written permission.

Any content you create on the Portal (such as display names or comments) remains yours, but you grant X Treasure Hunt a non-exclusive license to display it within the Portal.

7. Events & Physical Activities

Our treasure hunts take place at outdoor renaissance faire and festival venues. By participating, you acknowledge that:

• Activities involve walking and exploring outdoor environments
• You participate at your own risk
• You must follow all venue rules and guidelines
• X Treasure Hunt is not liable for injuries sustained at third-party venues
• Weather and other conditions may affect event schedules

8. Rewards & Prizes

• Rewards and prizes are subject to availability
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue reward programs at any time
• Rewards have no cash value unless explicitly stated
• Rewards must be redeemed according to the instructions provided

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Portal is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Portal will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, X Treasure Hunt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Portal. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us, if any.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Portal after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
