What Is X Treasure Hunt?
X Treasure Hunt brings interactive adventure quests to Renaissance Faires across New England. At the Connecticut Renaissance Faire, you'll receive a hand-crafted treasure map filled with cryptic clues, cipher wheels, and hidden symbols. Navigate the sprawling faire grounds, solve the puzzles, and unlock the treasure chest to claim your glory.
With two difficulty levels — Advanced for seasoned puzzle solvers and Beginner for first-timers and younger adventurers — there's a quest for every member of your crew.
How It Works
Get Your Map
Purchase a quest and receive your treasure map with a unique QR code. Each map is your key to the adventure.
Solve the Puzzles
Follow the clues around the faire grounds. Crack cipher codes, decipher riddles, and piece together the pass phrase.
Claim Your Glory
Scan your QR code, enter the pass phrase, and rise on the leaderboard. A sword is drawn every play day — each Advanced Quest you finish that day, before 5:50, is one ticket in that day’s drawing.

Advanced Quest

A multi-puzzle adventure with cipher wheels, hidden clues scattered across the faire, and a locked treasure chest. Designed for seasoned adventurers who love a challenge.

Beginner Quest
$10
A shorter, simpler quest perfect for first-timers and younger adventurers. Same treasure map fun with easier puzzles — great for families with kids.
~30–45 min · All ages
The Grand Prize Raffle
A sword is drawn every play day. Each Advanced Quest you finish that day, before 5:50, is one ticket in that day's drawing — finish more before entries close, and more of the names in the drum are yours. Beginner Quests are just for fun and earn no tickets. One worthy adventurer is chosen each play day to receive a legendary prize — a sword, cloak, armor, or hat fit for a champion.
